Denver New Year’s Eve Celebrations – 2014 is quickly drawing to a close and 2015 will be here with a bang!  Whether you like to go out on the town or keep it mellow, you are bound to find a celebration to suit your fancy!  Let Vintage Homes of Denver guide you through your many New Year’s Eve Celebration options:

Downtown Denver’s Firework Displays – December 31st at 9 pm and Midnight.  16th Street Mall is the place to be for two fabulous firework displays that will light up the Denver skyline.  Come to one or stay for both, as there will be live costumed entertainers interacting with spectators in between shows.  Come see magicians, balloon artists, stilt walkers, mascots, comedians and more.  This will be a fun celebration for all!

Union Station’s Great Hall – Locale for the 1st Annual Bootlegger’s Ball

1’st Annual Bootlegger’s Ball – December 31st from 8 pm til midnight.  The newly revived Union Station is hosting this years First Bootlegger’sBall which is a tickets-only event. A general admission ticket priced at $150 a person includes access to the Terminal Bar and Great Hall, entry to the underground speakeasy, appetizers and desserts, three drink tickets for wine and beer (there will be a cash bar beyond that), free bubbles at midnight, a live band, DJ and dancing, and the usual New Year’s gear.  The 1920’s theme is in line with Union Stations History and should be a festive and swank celebration to remember. Resolution New Year’s Eve 2015 – December 31st from 8pm til 2 am at the McNichols Event Center.  Prepare yourself for a WOW experience complete with three floors of entertainment, including live music, DJs, performers, dancers and theatrics, plus State-of-the-art festival style sound, lighting & laser displays. This is a 21 and over party complete with open bar, party giveaways and New Year’s Eve hats, noise makers and party favors.  The parties countdown will be hosted by Fox 31 & Channel 2 Emmy Award Winning Anchor Chris Parente.  For ticket information, click HERE.

Annual White Rose Gala – December 31st from 9 pm – 2 am.  Shimmy your way into the New Year with an elegant 1920’s theme gala hosted at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  Ladies put on your best flapper or sequins dress, gentlemen pull out your suit and hat and dress to the 9’s.  Entertainment includes ballroom dance exhibitions, flapper girls, multiple DJ’s playing Vegas style mash-up club music, swing, big band and 80’s music, a Live 10 Piece swing band – “The Swing Cats” will perform.  Party Hats, noise makers and a confetti blast at Midnight will make this a gala to remember.  For more information, click HERE.

Lannie’s Clock Tower – December 31st at 8 pm – 1601 Arapahoe St., Denver. Celebrate with Lannie Garrett and her Big Band, “AnySwing Goes!” featuring nostalgic songs from the Swing and Jump eras performed by an incomparable 10-piece orchestra. Miners Alley Playhouse: 1224 Washington Ave., Golden. December 31st at 7 pm. Enjoy Captain Quirk and Friends performing an evening of music in tribute to Pink Floyd, including Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. ZOO Year’s Eve – December 31st from 5:30 pm – 10 pm.  This is a perfect New Year’s Eve celebration the whole family can enjoy. A special New Year’s Eve countdown at 9 p.m. will allow your little ones to enjoy the holiday, but still get home for bed. Activities are included with Zoo Lights admission.
Noon Year’s Eve – December 31st from 9 am – 5 pm at the Butterfly Pavilion.  Come celebrate the New Year with your kiddos.  Party complete with confetti, bubble wrap and a ball drop every half hour from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.  Space is limited and reservation times fill up quickly, so be sure to get your tickets soon.  For ticket information, please click HERE.  Children’s Museum members are free.
Evergreen
Skate the Lake – Evergreen Lake House – December 31st from 6 pm – midnight. Skate the Lake, is a non-alcoholic New Year’s Eve tradition since 1996, geared towards families and those who wish to ring in the 2015 New Year safely. Skate the Lake offers ice-skating, fireworks, fire barrel bonfires, sleigh rides, food, music and ice games such as pick-up hockey and broom-stick hockey along with games/activities (face painting), food vendors, a beautiful ice sculpture from Colorado Ice Sculptures, music and dancing all on firm ground! Fireworks displays are held at 8pm and Midnight to ring in the New Year. Once you’ve experienced it, you’ll always remember how magical it is.Ice skate rentals are available from the Lake House for $7.00, but quantities are limited. Bringing your own skates as well as a winter sports helmet are strongly encouraged.  Admission tickets are $20* (Children under 8 years old are free).  Proceeds from the event benefit Drive Smart.
Safe Travels – If you are going out Downtown, public transit/light rail will be running late and remember to party safe and have a designated driver or cab available.

Rue de Noel – A Paris Street Christmas Market – Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th from 1o am til 7 pm – Come enjoy a visual feast of local, vintage and handmade furniture, gifts and Holiday wares.   This event is held indoors at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center, next to Talbot’s.

Denver Flea – Holiday Edition – Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th from noon til 6pm – The Denver Flea returns in Holiday form for a two day wintery extravaganza at The Bindery (29th and Blake) for a celebration of the finest Colorado-made goods, beers and food.  Get more information HERE.
