While the communities it serves are somewhat small in stature, the Littleton Public School System isn’t. It’s actually the fifteenth largest school district in Colorado and oversees many different educational complexes and is made up of various elementary, middle, and high schools along with a few alternative and charter educational facilities.
The Littleton Public School system is the only school in the Denver Metro area to have received an accreditation with distinction by the Department of Education. The Littleton Public School system has not only had all of it’s high schools featured as the Best High Schools in Denver by US News, but also as well as Newsweek and 5280 Magazine. Not only does the Littleton Public School system offer its students an exceptional education, they also encourage their students to attend class and graduate. This is evidenced by the fact that the Littleton Public School system enjoys one of the lowest dropout rates of any school system in the Denver metropolitan area.
After the events that transpired at Columbine High School, the Littleton Public School System made strides in securing all of the schools in the district. In 2013, Security Magazine named the Littleton Public School system one of the best in the nation for security.
The Littleton Public School system offers the residents of Littleton and surrounding communities an opportunity to receive an excellent education from kindergarten through high school and beyond. Not only do they offer excellent traditional classes, but also offer a wide range of honors and advanced placement classes that are designed to offer advanced courses for college bound students. Littleton High School has also been recognized as an International Baccalaureate World School.
