New Highlands Real Estate – Contemporary Duplex Homes

These duplex homes have been rebuilt from the ground up, literally.  Located off 32nd and Vrain, these homes are within walking distance to all that makes living in Highlands real estate so wonderful.  Stroll the 32nd and Tennyson district with its shops, restaurants, and coffee houses.  Sloan’s Lake is minutes away for evening runs or bike trips.

In addition to all that the Highlands neighborhood has to offer, the easy commute to the heart of Denver, LODO, and Sloan’s Lake make these contemporary duplexes a perfect place to call home.

Each unit is over 2,300 square feet of living space, with three bedrooms and four bathrooms.  The unique floor plan provides each bedroom with an individual level with a personal en suite bathroom.  The main living area is an open concept, loft-like space with a gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, quartz countertops, and custom cabinetry.  The large windows offer natural light as well as mountain views.  Each home is pre-wired for high speed internet and security systems.

The top level of each unit features a bonus room with wet bar, gas fireplace, large windows, and a stunning rooftop deck.  The lower level has an additional finished space that could be well used as a workout space or office.

Get Spooky with Vintage Homes of Denver

It’s that time of year again!  Time to put away your everyday persona and search out the perfect disguise.  Being that Denver neighborhoods are filled with a variety of interesting thrift stores, we at Vintage Homes of Denver thought we would point out a few of our favorites.

Flossy McGrews

Flossy McGrews

Flossy McGrews: 1824 South Broadway, Denver, CO

Don’t let the skeleton collection on the outside scare you away.  This store is a complex arrangement of vintage, thrift, costume and oddities.  Calling Denver’s Platt Park neighborhood home, this well-known shop will have what you need or can point you in the right direction.  The eclectic staff is always helpful, and can direct you through the organized selection of vintage militaria, high school uniforms, Hawaiian shirts, 1960’s cocktail dresses, platform shoes, and poodle skirts.  What is particularly nice about Flossy’s is that most of the costuming is comprised of vintage pieces, rather than the scratchy, cheaply made reproductions.  Flossy’s also supplies many drama departments in the area, and has a selection of wigs, makeup, jewelry and other pieces that will put the final touch on your Halloween ensemble.  Oh, and if you are running short on time, they also rent costumes.

Reinke Brothers:  5663 South Prince Street, Littleton, CO

Brothers Chris and Greg Reinke have made their store a year-round attraction for all ages.  Surrounded by some of the best Littleton real estate, the store is a community fixture and active participant in events celebrating the uniqueness of Old Littleton, CO.  Not only do the brothers offer a wide array of costumes, wigs, and other Halloween items, but they also host a yearly haunted mansion, zombie crawl, and faux body part meat counter.  In consideration of younger patrons, they also offer special lights-on tours.  In addition to all of this Halloween fun, the store is also a destination for magic supplies, special effects, lighting and dramatic props.  Costumes are also available for rent.

Wizard’s Chest:  230 Fillmore Street, Denver, CO

Established in 1983, the Wizard’s Chest is a Cherry Creek destination.  No afternoon walk among stunning Cherry Creek real estate is complete without a visit to this famous castle.  Once inside, children large and small come alive with exploration and play.  The downstairs is home to Dungeons and Dragons (among other) gaming pieces, brainy games, gags, magic supplies, award winning toys, yoyos, juggling sets, puppets and other fun gadgets.  The employees don’t mind kids handling the merchandise, in fact, it’s encouraged.  Upstairs you find costumes, wigs, makeup, hats and other dress-up necessities.
